Our name is usually shortened to ´The Kinross Newsletter´ or even just ´The Newsletter´ - the essential publication for Kinross-shire!

The Newsletter is a monthly magazine that has been providing news, comment and interaction for the whole community since 1977.

With over 100 pages of news and community information each month, it´s brilliant value at just 1.

The Newsletter is published around the beginning of each month (except January). It is published by Kinross Newsletter Ltd, a company set up by Kinross Community Council. All profits are distributed to local good causes.

The Newsletter began as a way of letting people know what Kinross Community Council was saying and doing. It soon expanded and now includes:

  • News of local issues and events.
  • Reports by local Councillors. Find out about Perth & Kinross Council decisions affecting our county.
  • News from five local Community Councils: Kinross, Milnathort, Portmoak, Fossoway & District and Cleish & Blairadam.
  • Events listings - Fêtes, Concerts, Talks, Galas, Shows - everything that´s happening in the county.
  • Club reports - Kinross-shire has an amazing array of groups, sports clubs and other organisations. There´s something for everyone. Find out what they´re up to and how to join.
  • Nature and History features.
  • Letters - The Newsletter provides a forum for opinion and discussion.
  • Congratulations - Just had a baby? A child who´s graduated? Share the good news.
  • Adverts - Local businesses support the community by advertising with us. The Newsletter is a great way to find a local tradesman, service or place to eat.
  • Useful information and contacts - Updates from the Health Centre, Police, opening times for library, education and training opportunities, service times at churches, contact details for community representatives and organisations.
